Henry Lee III (January 29, 1756 – March 25, 1818) was an early American Patriot and U.S. politician who served as the ninth Governor of Virginia and as the Virginia Representative to the United States Congress. Fitzhugh Lee was born 19 November 1835 at "Clermont" in Fairfax County, Virginia, to Sydney Smith Lee (1802-1869) and Ann Maria Mason Lee (1811-1898).
